Grey - Jitterbug Scarf
This product is currently sold out.
Our collection takes inspiration from historic Appalachian coverlet patterns. These masterpieces were widely produced in family homes from the 1700s through the early 20th century. Particularly relevant is the work of Francis L. Goodrich, who recorded hand-drawn weaving drafts for the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild. Her work helped preserve Appalachian craft as it faced competition from commercial production.
And like the historical double weave fabrics, this knitted scarf is “two-faced,” the colors inverting to create a light and dark side. You can read more about the history of two-faced fabric on the blog.
